Meet our Executive Board!

Dylan Mehta, President

​

Dylan is a fourth year student studying economics and finance, and serves as the President of the Tufts Economics Society this year. Dylan has spent past summers interning at companies including Google, Fidelity Investments and Evercore, deciding on his interests for post-grad. He also enjoys being an active member on campus, sitting on the board of the Tufts Investment Club and contributing to the Experimental College in past semesters. In his personal time, Dylan enjoys taking trips with friends and family and trying new restaurants. 

Veronica Bloomberg, Vice President

​

Veronica is a junior majoring in Quantitative Economics and Environmental Studies and minoring in Entrepreneurship. As Vice President, she is responsible for developing the TES Mentorship Program and managing events and programs. Last summer, she went to Iceland to study renewable energy, resource economics, and technology, where she explored energy innovation and economic assessments in alternative marine fuel. Veronica is also an active member of the Tufts Financial Group and Tufts Ski Club. In her free time, she loves to read, weight train, and try new restaurants.

Liam Randall, Vice President

​

Liam is a junior studying Quantitative Economics, Mathematics, and Philosophy.  As Vice President, he ensures the smooth operation of TES programs, planning events for students, and coordinating with the Economics Department and Career Center. Outside of TES, Liam can be found exploring Greater Boston, in the rock climbing gym, or hiking with friends. He is currently studying at the London School of Economics for the 2023-24 academic year and is happy to answer study abroad questions.

Sam Berman, Treasurer

Sam is a junior from Louisville, KY, majoring in economics and minoring in entrepreneurship and finance. He is interested in economics due to his enjoyment of critical thinking, problem-solving, and analyzing data. His favorite part of TES is meeting students who are passionate about economics. Outside of TES, Sam is involved in the student-run newspaper The Tufts Daily and is a TA for Statistics. He also enjoys swimming and golf.

Diya Philip, Outreach Officer

​

Diya is a sophomore studying Quantitative Economics and minoring in Finance. As the Outreach Officer, she is the point of contact for TES, and is looking forward to working with the Economics department and other clubs. This summer, Diya traveled, took a summer course, and worked in retail. Diya is especially interested in international economics/finance, as she has a very international background, and development economics in the context of South/Southeast Asia, where she has deep roots. In her free time she enjoys baking, reading, and re-watching her favorite sitcoms.

Miles Guerin, Development Officer

​

Miles is a junior majoring in Applied Math and Quantitative Economics. As Development Officer, he hopes to promote further opportunities for undergraduates to get engaged with economics research and lead programming to help students interested in pursuing graduate-level study of economics. Last summer, he interned at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, gaining further experience in econometrics and macroeconomics. Outside of TES, Miles is a member of the Middle East Research Group (MERG) and 180 Degrees consulting. After graduation, he intends to pursue a Ph.D. in Economics. Originally from New Mexico, Miles enjoys hiking, skiing, reading, and playing Geoguessr.

Meghna Singha, Marketing Officer

 

Meghna is a sophomore studying Quantitative Economics and minoring in Math and possibly Linguistics. As the Marketing Officer, Meghna is responsible for updating the newsletters and maintaining TES social media. Over the last summer, Meghna worked as an intern at a boutique portfolio management firm in Atlanta and spent time researching various topics and companies and produced a financial analysis report on Adidas AG. She is also an executive editor at the Tufts Daily. You can always find Meghna practicing or teaching yoga at the CorePower Yoga on Mystic or doing crafts with her roommate in Wren.

Nazareth Mehreteab, Marketing Officer

 

Nazareth is a junior majoring in Economics with a minor in Entrepreneurship. As Marketing Officer, Nazareth coordinates the marketing material for TES, develops the newsletter, and responds to member emails. Outside of TES, she serves as a TA for Entrepreneurship and Business Planning (ENT 101) and is part of Women Entrepreneurs.
